| it is not that hard, did one long time ago on a friends car. biggest part is getting the areas that the glue is going on real real clean. like any other job, it is all in how well you prep it. and if you do it right it looks damn good. |

| Right Off Hand What I Need Is A Good Dual Electric Window Switch That Fits In The Console. Wire Connectors For The Window Switch. Wiper Switch With Delay. The Washer Type Thing A Ma Jig That Presses Onto The Back Bucket Seat Hinge. Seatbelt Strap Holders That Connect To The Bucket Seats. (Both Sides). Both Sunvisors. | I had the middle dash crack problem and I was going to go the route of the overlay until I found out how hard it was to remove the handle above the glove box. Also, the overlays do not provide the holes for the handles either. I might as well buy a whole new dash and take the old out, because that is the only way to get to the bolts that hold that handle in. So, I used JB Weld, crazy glue and texture paper and spent a week sanding & filling over and over until smooth. I then painted with correct interior paint and finally set a new Firebird hat over it and said "that's my fix for $30". Maybe, someday when I get the nerve to spend $600-$800 on a repro along with some extra patience, and remove the whole thing and go for it. |
